NORTHMINSTER FRIENDS AND FAMILY,
In the spirit of caring for each other and keeping everyone safe and healthy, we have made the decision to postpone in-person Sunday worship and Sunday children/youth programs. While we were excited to be together again in person, the covid numbers and our wanting to “love thy neighbour” means we need to stay online for now. We are grateful to our live-streaming team that are so skilled at keeping us connected on Sunday mornings. Thank you for your willingness to engage this way, and for the other ways you show your care and concern for your church family: phone calls, prayers, donations, and the sharing of your time and skills.
Our Relaunch Committee will continue to evaluate the situation, and we will look forward to possibilities for Thanksgiving or even November.
If you know someone who was looking forward to returning to in-person worship who may not receive this email update, please reach out to them and help us spread the word.
Small groups and rentals may meet (though online is preferred) following all guidelines: mask wearing and vaccination are strongly recommended, as well as social distancing. No food or drink may be shared.
Watch for details in your weekly email and online about programs that will continue online for all ages of our congregation.
Northminster is pleased to open its doors to our previous renters, and ask them to follow the same guidelines: encouraging masks, vaccination, hand sanitizing, contact tracing, social distancing. Janitorial services will be maintained.
At this time, there will be no Turkey Supper held in 2021. The organizers of the Craft Fair will work in close consultation with the Relaunch Committee to make sure this event can happen in a safe way.
