"Affirming Ministries 101" Sunday, November 29th 7 PM. Join together on Zoom with guest speaker Keith Murray, the Affirming Ministries Coordinator at Hillhurst United. We'll engage together in what it means to be Affirming, the difference between welcoming and Affirming, and what being Affirming would bring to our congregation and the lives of those we serve. Keith is an artist and activist whose work brings together spirituality, social justice and community engagement.
Keith is a trained facilitator and councilor and worked in communities affected by trauma, mental illness and addiction, including the queer and trans communities primarily in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
